Upcoming possible merger with Ultimate Shinobi

So, as only Otu knows so far, I've been in discussion and conversation with Adam, the current owner of Ultimate Shinobi (Or more commonly called US).  Osmosis, our new Site Owner, is also an Admin on their site.  After some discussion and consideration, I've opened myself to the possibility of a merger between our two sites.  This opens a number of doors for everyone, and could very well be a great opportunity for all of the members of both sites to find a new love.

This merger is not a guarantee at this time, though it is certainly looking like a positive option.  This topic is to inform everyone here about this possibility, and give a chance for people to ask questions about the details involving it.


I've made an account for Adam to be able to post and view in our staff areas, so feel free to post any questions here for him as well.


EDIT: I suppose you all know this already, but as the Staff Rules state, this information stays between the NR Staff and the US Staff. Since this has not be finalized (Though I hope it goes through) I'd rather not get people in a fuss over it.

Hi guise. Looking forward to answering any questions or responding to any cons anybody might have with this proposition.

There will be a similiar topic in my Staff Lounge that Gen will have access to so we both have a proper understanding of where each other's teams sit.

Truthfully i had uneasy experiences there when i was on US (Hence why i am here) But all in all US is a great site with awesome RPers and well balanced systems. I won't let personal issues get in way of the sites growth and truthfully this would be a huge plus if the merger went through so this has a +1 from me

Also, as an additional note, sometime tomorrow, Adam and I will be putting all of the Staff from both sides into one big Skype chat room. So don't be surprised if you get a bunch of people in a random chat. And please play nice!

You already know I'm all for it, I like Adam and US does have really good ideas, staff and (shock horror) members XD

-1 until I get some much needed information. All this says is a possibility of a merger. Before I can say for sure I need answers to questions:

(This is the staff area. As such this is not be being rude but being objective and asking what needs asked. Sorry if you get offended for some reason.)

1} What will the sites name be?

2} What of staff? With we be keeping all staff from both sites?

3} This seems like potentially bringing in some bad staff as while I have an account there I never RP'd at US or spent time there, so I don't know what kinds of people they are.

4} What kind of village system will there be?

5} Biased question yes, but one that needs asked anyway. What of the current kages?

6} What will the site be in terms of links? IE here is Narutor.org.

7} How will the systems work? Will our systerms take over theirs? Their systems ours? A mix of the two? A complete system rebuild?

8} This seems like it will take quite a lot of doing frankly, esp. if the latter of #7

9} Will our our sites characters, and/or their need entirely redone?

10} What about jutsu and clans?

11} If yes to Either #9 or 10: Seems a huge workload

12} If either site closes in the merge we are looking at a rather large inconvenience for the members. We might loose loads.

13} Look how the guides are going. The workload would take months if we have to redo all the guides, resubmit all the characters/Jutsu/Clans.

14} What are the benefits? Other than member base increased a fair amount?
