| Special Characteristics What are Special Characteristics? Like being a member of a Clan or not can define your identity, the elements and specialties you wield can define your identity and your personality and looks can, the Special Characteristics are what Defines who you are as a Shinobi in more ways than one. Special Characteristics may define your true character or provide valuable boosts your previously chosen specialties . Now, these Characteristics must be achieved when trained or bought.
How to acquire Special Characteristics - GenShinigami wrote:
- 1) All members will have the chance to get more SC slots. Whether through competition, a quest reward, or special event, more SC slots will be made available. Training Optional: So you want to get a shiny new Special Characteristic without spending precious points? Well luckily any SC can be trained so long as you are willing to put time and effort into the topic. While you cannot turn these topics in for any sort of advancement, you can write them up and earn the Special Characteristic free of charge.Training Requirements: - Code:

C Ranked SC’s- 500 Words
B Ranked SC’s- 800 Words
A Ranked SC’s- 1,400 Words
S Ranked SC’s- 1,800 Words Upgrading Special Characteristics: Upgrading a Special Characteristic is done by either paying the appropriate PAC or training with the appropriate word count. There are limits however in trading up in SC’s. -The upgrade must pertain to SC being upgraded (If it is a Strength Boost SC, then you must upgrade to the next level of Strength SC’s rather than swapping it for a Lie-Detector SC).
-The upgrade may only go up one rank, no skipping from C to A rank SC’s.
-Upgrading an SC replaces the older SC, thus eliminating the potential to go over the total maximum for a shinobi’s limit on Special Characteristics.
-To upgrade, a shinobi must have previously bought/trained for the lower ranked Special Characteristic. You may not buy an A rank Speed Boost SC without purchasing first the C and B ranked Special Characteristics.Though make it clear that you MUST train an SC through each rank, so the WC ends up being additive.Maximum Boosts: Anything that gives a boost to chakra, speed, strength, or any other improvement perk must follow this guideline. Any SC boosting something may only boost it by 10% per rank. [b]Description:[/b] Describe what it does as well as possible Approved Special Characteristics Chakra Based Special Characteristics:These special characteristics revolve around chakra in its most basic form. Whether it is increasing your chakra capacity, gaining an additional elemental affinity, or finding new and creative uses to chakra; you can find it all on this list.- Approved Chakra Special Characteristics:
So you want a chakra SC? Well it follows the boosting percentage guide. So some people don't really get what that means but hopefully this will help you understand.
Lets say you're a genin with a 10 percent increase.
C rank jutsu's normally cost 25% but not for you.
Every jutsu cost on your genin chat will now have to be multiplied by .1 before you can get the new cost.
Ex: 25 x .1 = 22.5
22.5% is your new C rank cost.
Physical Based Special Characteristics:Physical characteristics make a character stronger, faster, or even give them unique things like ambidexterity or increased flexibility. Through training, meditation, or even surgery; these are the characteristics that revolve around the body without any specific Specialty required.- Approved Physical Special Characteristics:

Requirement: 500 Word Training topic or 20 PAC
Description: This allows a shinobi who has trained their body for speed to gain the edge in movement speeds. This overall boosts their speed by 5%.
Name: Quick Little Ninja
Rank: B
Requirement: Speedy SC AND 800 word Training Topic or Speedy SC AND 30 PAC
Description: This allows a shinobi who has trained their body for speed to gain the edge in movement speeds. This overall boosts their speed by 10%.
Name: High Velocity
Rank: A
Requirement: Quick Little Ninja SC AND 1,400 word Training Topic or Quick Little Ninja SC AND 40PAC
Description: This allows a shinobi who has trained their body for speed to gain the edge in movement speeds. This overall boosts their speed by 15%.
Name: Maximum Acceleration
Rank: S
Requirement: High Velocity SC AND 1,800 word Training Topic or High Velocity SC AND 50PAC
Description: This allows a shinobi who has trained their body for speed to gain the edge in movement speeds. This overall boosts their speed by 20%.
Knowledge Based Special Characteristics:Acting, lying, Knowledge in Anatomy, these are some examples of what can be found in this section. These are skills that are non-combat based but can be quite the magnificent tool to use in roleplay. Whether you’re trying to detect whether the shinobi you’re interrogating is lying or picking a complex lock.- Approved Knowledge Special Characteristics:
Name: Locksmith
Rank: C
Requirement: 500 Word Training Topic or PAC Purchase
Description: A shinobi can devote themselves to the art of picking locks. It is not always a skill everyone focuses on when you can usually break through the locks. However some types prefer the ability to enter a place rather quietly through picking a lock. This ability allows them to do just that. They carry the tools required for it and are quite experienced in leaving behind no real trace the lock was tampered with.
Name: Third Specialty
Rank: A
Requirement: 1,400 Word Training Topic or PAC Purchase
Description: High ranking ninja know that skills are best kept widely ranged and very flexible. With this is mind some choose to train a third specialty with some measure of success. Though they can only use techniques from a third specialty up to 1 Rank below their current rank, these shinobi’s arsenals are expanded beyond those who only ever specialized in two fields of study; overall this leads them to be seemingly more prepared for any situation.

| Firstly, while I do appreciate the time and work to add them, colors aren't really necessary. Second, your WC requirements for more slots are a bit... Well, wonky. - Quote :

C) 3500 WC topic - +3 SC slot. You require more than double the WC for 2 compared to 1, but then you only add a 75% addition to the 3? A bit inconsistent. Finally, all things in a guide need to be definite. Things that say "I'm probably going to" or "It'll be sometime between" aren't much good. The point of a guide is for members to go their with their questions and get answers, not for them to go and get more questions. All in all, for your first time, it looks good though. We're all still learning. | |

| I did the WC requirements like this on purpose. There are new members that doesn't even know how to write a training of 600 words. That's why I make it like this. But alright I'll change it. | |
