| Hello and welcome to Naruto Revolution! So glad you're here and I hope you're looking forward to joining, but contain your excitement while some basic ground rules are laid down. These rules apply across the site. Unless specifically stated otherwise, these rules apply in-character and out-of-character. These rules are here to try and ensure a pleasant experience for all members. 1) Respect. - Spoiler:
As it should be, respect is the first rule of the site. Name calling, excessive swearing, and flat out rudeness will not be tolerated. You don't have to like everyone, but you do need to be polite. This rule is of course suspended while roleplaying. However please try not to get out of hand while in-character. Defecating on the body of your foe after your slay them is out of line unless your character has some kind of fecal fetish listed in their profile. This kind of site tends to draw a certain kind of people. Usually very competitive, aggressive, and energetic. Competition is a wonderful thing, but please try to keep in mind that this is nothing more than a game. A collection of words. Keep the competition in the game, and let go of it out of character. If you have a problem with another member, feel free to bring it up with a staff member. We are the mediators and moderators. It is part of our job to help people get along.
2) Listen to the staff. - Spoiler:
"Just because you're in charge doesn't mean you're right." Wonderful words to live by, but at the same time everyone is expected to listen to the staff members. If you are asked to drop a topic, please drop it. If you are told that you need to make an edit, please make it. You are of course allowed to disagree with the staff member, but as a general rule of thumb they are trying to do what they feel is best for the site at that time. If you have an issue with it, send them a PM. If you feel they're behaving inappropriately, or asking something unreasonable, tell a different staff member. Try not to start a ruckus in a public area though, please. That only leads to trouble.
3) This site is rated PG-13. - Spoiler:
The terms of service for Forumotion (Our forum board provider) state this, in regards to illicit contents: - Spoiler:
Forums that does welcome or promote warez, piracy, hacking, cracking, spamming, attacks against networks or servers, pornography, racial hatred, crimes against humanity, inappropriate activities on the servers, or any other actions which violate any applicable laws, aren't allowed. Any forum which contains texts, links, pictures, animations, videos or any other content recognized as Illegal will be deleted without notice or warning. Forumotion.com reserves the right to delete any accounts or forums considered not conform to the rules quoted here or specified in Forumotion.com or in the international website rules according to the international internet law. Any Illegal content or act and will be reported to the concerned services and prosecuted.
This means that, while technically we could allow almost any kind of activities on the boards, it has been decided that for the good of the member base that all topics be PG-13. Minor nudity is allowable, but please avoid going into detail. Anything more than that requires a fade to black.
4) One character to one account. - Spoiler:
Every character you make must be associated with a single account. The account it is associated with must be the name of the character in the form of "First Name Last Name" for it to be allowed. For example, Naruto Uzumaki's account name would look like this. "Naruto Uzumaki"
5) Your stuff, your responsibility. - Spoiler:
We are not an archive for your ideas. We are not here to store your old topics and posts. If you have something you'd particularly like to be kept for posterity sake, it is YOUR job to copy it and save it somewhere safe, preferably off your computer. The staff reserve the right to delete topics and posts without warning if they feel they are disruptive or out of line.
6) Advertise in the advertisement section. - Spoiler:
We don't mind you telling us how great your site is, or hearing about the cool adventures of another board. But please understand that we limit anything that could be seen as an advertisement to the appropriate forum board. We'll try to be a bit lenient if you're simply regaling us with your tales but if you're asked to stop, then look at Rule 2 again.
If you have any questions about these rules, or feel you know of one that we should add, feel free to contact any member of staff! | |
