Shadow Summoning

Name: Kage no shōkan- Shadow Summoning

Requirement: Kage Mane no Jutsu - Shadow Imitation Technique.
Range: up to 25m
Description: In a time of great duress the user unknowingly uses his shadow to bind a creature from another dimension to himself, summoning it forth into this dimension using the shadow as a medium. This creature is then bound to the user's soul and housed inside his body similar to a bijuu and can be communicated with in a similar way. Once initially conjured the user can call forth the creature at will. This creature draws it's power from the user and amplifies it before unleashing attacks.  the creature summoned is unique to the user and has unique abilities that are listed on the user's profile. all jutsu known by the shadow take up space in the user's jutsu list and use the user's chakra to preform. summoning the shadow doesn't cost chakra, however using it's abilities does.

C rank- as the user grows fatigued in battle, the shadow becomes fatigued as well lowering it's stats in the same way as the user. it is emphatically linked with it's user allowing the shadow to feel it's users emotional state and vice verse. When not summoned, the shadow can communicate telepathically with the user from inside his body. it's claws and fangs are as strong as bronze and can be considered as strong as an C rank weapon. the shadow can reach a size of 10 meters tall in this state.
 speed: 22mph
 strength: 350lbs lifting power.
 durability: The shadow itself is quite resilient. any wounds it receives are quickly healed, and it being just a shadow makes it immune to lethal damage, however any pain inflicted upon the dragon is dealt to the user undulled, this causes a drain on the user's chakra in an amount equivalent to the chakra used by the opponent to inflict the damage.  

B Rank. The shadow still grows fatigued in battle, however the stat reductions are reduced by 25%.  The shadow is now fully telepathically linked with the user, allowing them to communicate in battle with just a thought. The shadow is now powerful enough to fly and carry it's user as well. it's claws becomes sharper and tougher, the equivalent to steel and can be considered as strong as a B rank weapon. the shadow can reach a size of 15 meters tall in this state.  
 speed: 28mph  40[flying]
 strength: 450lbs lifting power
 durability: As the user grows tougher, so does the bond between him and his shadow. the pain, while still felt is now slightly dulled lowering the drain on the user's chakra when damage is taken to 75% normal.

A rank. growing ever stronger the shadow becomes even more powerful. it's fatigue now being lowered to 1/2 that of the user during the course of battle. it's claws and fangs are as strong as titanium and can be considered as strong as an A rank weapon. the shadow can reach a size of 20 meters tall in this state.  
speed: 34mph  60[flying]
 strength: 600lbs lifting power
 durability: Even stronger then before, the shadow's skin becomes tougher, being able to absorb more damage before transmitting that pain to the user. chakra drain at 50%.

S rank. the pinnacle of the shadow's power. the shadow no longer fatigues in battle, fighting at it's full strength until the end. It's claws and fangs become diamond tough and can be considered as strong as a S rank weapon. the shadow can reach a size of 20 meters tall in this state. Once this state has been achieved, the user can learn the shadow corporeal jutsu which will give his shadow complete physical form separate from the user. This would free the user to allow him to use other jutsu while fighting along with his shadow creature.

 strength: 750lbs lifting power
 durability: the shadow is now at the peak of it's power. it's skin becomes chromatic and is able to absorb more punishment. the user being drained of only 25% of the damage being inflicted. the pain itself being quite tolerable.

Also, for your idea, it would NOT be a summon. You're not actually summoning a creature, the creature is just part of your character and you don't have to summon it, since it is always there.

yes, not a summon like toads, slugs or snakes in naruto.  summon is just the term im using to "call" it out of my body and give it physical form, rest of the time it's like a bijuu inside my body bound to me.

As I can't use any other jutsu other then taijutsu and kenjutsu with it out, there would be times when it must be suppressed so that i could use [for example] shadow imitation jutsu.

I see no reason why you would be unable to use ninjutsu and such when it is active. I can understand if maybe you can no longer use your shadow, as it is now a quasi-living being.

i was thinking it would be too powerful without that restriction, but if you're fine with it. i'll go ahead and remove it.

Likely, your shadow-pet won't be all that powerful at early ranks. I'm imagining maybe the power of a normal animal, except with one or two jutsu options that come from your chakra pool. However since I assume you're going to make him grow with you, it seems that while he may certainly become powerful, removing your ability to use jutsu has little IC reason and would only be a nuisance.

well in essence he is a part of me... my chakra is his chakra. anything i want to do, i'd preform through him. when he gets defeated, i get defeated and vice verse, I get tired, he gets tired.... etc. i guess like a wierd conjoined twin.... does that make sense at all O.o?
