PostSubject: The Beach is for Relaxing    The Beach is for Relaxing EmptySat Mar 23, 2013 1:34 am

As sun would beam brightly in the face of the young man he would gather himself from his long but short lived nap. His eyes would blink softly before readjusting to the mid-day sun. He would slightly stretch in arms over his head as he leaned back. Finally he would manage to stand up, and slightly brushing the dirt from his clothing. He would pick up his jug of water and give it a firm shake. The emptiness in the container was much too great to quench his thrust, and today just seemed like a good day to swim. He would slowly make his way down to the beach. It wouldn't take him long before his feet were planted into the sand and his shirt was off lying carelessly on a mountain of sand. He would allow himself to stop at a nearby water fountain and gulp down a few mouths full of water. He would slowly make his way to the edge of shore before taking his first step in, and with each step his body would begin to float into the cool crisp water. He would softly chuckle to himself as he would say, "I guess I over did this time body. Once we have had a good soak, we can head towards the nearby shops and have ourselves a good meal."

Light would cup his hands together and splash gallons of water across his body for the sea. As the water would flood his hair and drip of the edge of his face he would take the time to let out a loud sigh, in relief of his new found refreshment. He would repeat this behavior a few more time before allowing his body to slide deeper into the water. His body would carelessly drift around as he would allow the water to gently wash across his chest and face. His eyes would lay rest upon the sky as clouds would begin to form. He would start by identifying the first shape as a sword, the next as a tree with a cat in it, and the last one as woman. He would continue this little game with the cloud for several minutes before finally closing his eyes and allowing the stress to drift away from his body.

PostSubject: Re: The Beach is for Relaxing    The Beach is for Relaxing EmptySat Mar 23, 2013 2:16 am

Loneliness was catching up to Blake. To start his parents were on one of their mission sprees again. He probably wouldn’t see them for a year. Other than that he really had no one else, and they weren’t much there for him even when they were around too busy. If there was something Blake wanted in common with his parents it would be their busyness. Life just seemed so boring at times. He tried the best he could to make some excitement. Hell, he became a ninja, but that wasn’t all for excitement. It was mostly to honor his brother, but that is a different story.

Today, the teenager sat on a large rock facing the Sugoi beach. The atmosphere was always fun here, even if you weren’t the kind for fun. The teenager quickly abandoned his torn up shoes near the rock he had been sitting on. With his trusty scalpel he carved a large B into the rock, so he knew where he had left them. Blake also threw off his sweatshirt and sweat pants leaving himself in only boxers and an undershirt. They were water resistant, so he didn’t much care. As Blake calmly strutted about the beach, his typical slouch formed and he didn’t try to fight the urge to straighten out. Now was a time to relax and maybe have fun.

As Blake reached the water, he stuck one foot in. He quickly pulled it back, because sea weed had become tangled around it. If there was one thing Blake didn’t mess with it was fish. You never know what kind of monsters could be waiting down there. Scanning the clear water for creepy crawlies, he slowly made his way in. The father he went, the deeper his body sank, and the more the undertow pulled. Finally he was so far out he had to close his eyes to prevent the salt water from stinging. His hair quickly became soaked and flat. He began to dive under the water and swim against the waves. It was relaxing apart from the occasional snort of sea water. His eyes tightly closed, the boy barreled through the sea, until he came across a man looking into the sky. Blake looked at the clouds too. He found himself pointing up. “That one kinda looks like a woman doesn’t it?”

Light would quickly shift his body so that he would submerge deeply into the water and allow his body to flip over, he would than swim forward as he would return to the surface, he would appear behin the boy that would have interrupted his rest. His eyes would glance the boy over a few time before speaking out to make the boy aware of his location, "That's exactly what I thought." Light would allow his hair to rest carelessly across his face as water began to stream off of his head and back into the sea were it belonged. He would slowly take his hand and pull his hair from his face, revealing his Haze-green eyes. He wasn't sure if the boy was crazy or just plain weird, but for now Light would go along with the idea that the boy meant no harm, and was not trying to startel him.

Light would slowly begin to look back to the sky as he would hear the faint sounds of familiar voices. Within seconds Light would be grabbed from behind by a girl with sandy brown hair and brown eyes. Her voice would carry a slight pleasant tone as she would kiss his cheek softly, "How have you been Li...gh...t." Light would turn his head and playfully headbutt the girl as he would smile softly. "I've been fine Chi and how about yourself?" Light would slowly look to the stranger as he would contiinue. "Hi my name is Light and this girl attached to my back is Chiyoko... and you are?" The girl would wave her hand as she would interupt the introudctions with. "Come on big brother Light, big sister Hanako is waiting on the beach for us." As she would tug at Light's arm he would grabs the stranger's and hand and drag him along too.

Blake allowed himself to be pulled by the stranger. Was he really such a push over? Recently he had been getting pushed around a lot. It didn’t seem like he was in control of the direction he was going. But those seemed to be musings for another time. At the moment he was being dragged (again he might add) by a stranger who was being dragged by another stranger. Blake didn’t know where the two were taking him, but he was trusting. Too trusting if you were to ask most ninja, but again another time.

Blake realized he had missed the question from the stranger, well more of an introduction. He tried to remember what was said. ‘Light and Chiyoko, that’s right and the girl said something about a Hanako, I think’ Blake thought to himself. “I’m Blake,” he finally answered Light's initial question. Blake would put is first two fingers to his head and give a slight wave while Light was looking back at him. Blake didn’t wear a smile though. One of those out of Blake was rare. What was on his face was a slight smirk. Just enough to convey his happiness, but not quite enough to show arrogance. It was the perfect smirk and Blake had created it just for the moment when he meets someone new.

As the troop was dragged to shore Blake continued to smirk. His day had just gone from a lonely one to one that would no doubt become exciting. Blake was glad that he was taken advantage of and grabbed by another stranger. He couldn’t wait for excitement. Blake thought about asking a few questions to get to know the two better as they were dragging, but all words failed to come to his lips. He figured that all would come in due time.

As the group would make it to shore Light would turn to the stranger that had announced himself as Blake. “Well nice to meet you Blake. As I said before my name is Light and the twins here are Chiyoko and Hanako.” Light would point to the girl with Sandy brown hair and a black two swimsuit, “Chi as I like to call her is the younger sister of Hana.” Like would allow his head to lean towards the side as he nodded to a girl and a light blue two piece swim suit. She would have long black hair that reach down to her back and Chi would have short hair style. Light can’t remember when they changed them, but for as long as he could remember, beside the hair style and personalities the two girls were exactly the same, from perfect bodies down to matching accessories. Hana would slowly make her way over as she would hug Light softly and kiss his cheek before going on to say. “Did you miss me baby.” She would than turn to Blake and say “nice to meet you. ” Chi would point out to Blake that the two use to date back in the Academy.

Light would slowly wrap his arms around Hana as he would nod softly and return the kiss on her forehead. He would than pull away from her before she could say another word and pick up a ball that would be resting near the net. “I want to play!” Claimed Chi as she would grab Hana by the arm and pull her to the other side of the neck. Light would than turn to Blake and toss him the ball. “Why don’t you serve…” Light would slowly take his place in front of the net as he would turn to Blake and ask, “You do know how to play right?” Light would yawn softly as he would bounce from side to side and wait for the ball to cross the net. Although Hana and Chi may not look it, they are quite the competitors and have only in the nationwide completion once. Light would smile softly as he would yell out, “How about we make this interesting? Winner picks lunch and losers pay for it.” The girls would quickly agree as Light would turn to Blake and say, “If you don’t have it, it’s fine I’ll cover your tab this time and you can pay me back if we lose.”

PostSubject: Re: The Beach is for Relaxing    The Beach is for Relaxing EmptyTue Mar 26, 2013 9:44 am

Blake was dumbstruck. Not about volleyball, but rather at the fact that Light had women all over him. It wasn’t strange that Light had the women, but it was strange that Blake usually had no luck with women at all. If dating was a baseball game Blake would be batting zero. It wasn’t that he didn’t want a girlfriend, but he didn’t go out of his way to try for one. Blake intensified his pose and got ready to serve the ball that was just tossed towards him. He was still only thinking about how this guy that he had just met had women falling all over him, and yet Blake hadn’t even had his first kiss. Blake’s intensity thickened once again and he felt aggravated. As he began to toss the serve into the air, he suddenly stopped. Light had said something about the loser paying for food, and that was quite the motivation. Blake hadn’t had a decent meal in weeks, but would he really let the two girls pay for his entire meal. No, he would probably end up paying for it any way.

Light also reassured Blake that he was a good person and not a womanizer, or maybe a good person and a womanizer, when he offered to pay for Blake if he didn’t have it. “No, I have it,” Blake said while bouncing the volleyball in the sand. Blake made his way outside the outline of the court. Even though it may not seem true, Blake is very athletic. He was also very competitive when it came to sports. Every year in the Academy Blake won every athletic event on sports day. It was quite the sight to see, and the record still stands. Volleyball, however, was somewhat new to Blake. He was familiar with the rules, but he hadn’t played too often. The few times he did play, after it came around to his serve, Blake scored the rest of the points needed to win the match.

Blake took position. He threw the ball up into the air and studied its velocity. After the first throw, Blake knew exactly where to hit the ball to get good spin. He also knew where to hit the ball so that it was physically impossible for the other team to return it properly. A half smirk appeared on Blake’s face and this time when he threw the ball into the air he made contact. The ball whizzed off of his hand and flew to the perfect spot Blake had projected. If either of the girls even tried to make contact with the ball they would fall over. “Thanks for the offer Light, but I don’t plan on losing,” Blake said immediately after the ball flew over the net.

Light would slightly turned his head with a grin as he would watch the ball fly over head. He would have to admit that the serve was near prefect, almost flawless, and even good enough to be a scoring point against average playersm, but these girls weren't just average players and serves like this one was just another day on the court for them. As the ball came closer to the net, Chi would quickly close in on the crossing point and leap as high as she could. It was as if she had timed it perfect with the ball, because as she got to the top of her jump, she would swing her hand firmly in a downard motion that would cause the ball to spike towards the ground in a slanted motion, aimed almost directly away from Light. Light would call set as he would do a diving save and pop the ball back into the air sending it in Blake's direction. Light would hope that Blake wasn't the over aggressive type and would put it close to the net without sending it over.

For Chi way a very aggressive net player with the abilities and skills to close out on anything that approached the net half heartedly. Hana was the the best at playing the middle from line to line. Her ability to extend her body along with her quick reflexs made her a force to be reckon with when it came to extending the play. Light would quickly get up as fast as he could, so that he would be ready for Blake's next hit. Even if his young man had been known as an ace server, he would have to prepare himself for the long haul for this win. Chi would slowly whisper to Light as she would ask, 'Hey who is this guy and what time he plays for?' Light would smirk softly as he would say. "Don't know, why don't you ask him yourself." Light would then allow a sly like wink to come off as he would focus in on the ball and wait to see where it would go next.

Blake watched in shock as his perfect serve was returned back over the net. It wasn’t anything Blake had ever experienced before. He was thoroughly impressed by the athletic ability of the girls. Blake’s mind stopped focusing on Light’s success with women and began to focus on the game. He really didn’t want to pay for lunch anytime soon. Blake noticed his partner dive to barely keep the ball elevated into the air and stop a score. It was decision time. Blake could either be aggressive by going for a score or he could set the ball up for Light to try to score. Blake didn’t know how much faith he could put in his partner, but this would be a good test to find out. After thinking for half a second, Blake realized that to beat these two talented and likely well practiced athletes, Blake decided he would have to take a less aggressive attack.

Blake ran towards the ball and just as it began its return to the earth, Blake hit it up once more. Blake hit the ball in the best way he could at the poor angle he managed to reach the ball at. He hit the ball in such a way that it was close to the net, but not close enough for his opponent to reach it. It was right in front of Light and if he was able to hit the ball correctly serious damage would be done. It was a chance, a smaller chance than Blake’s serves, but a chance nonetheless. Blake backed up after hitting the ball to prepare for the possible return by the opposing team. This was the kind of contest Blake enjoyed most. Finally he had found a team that was good enough to compete. Blake just wished that it was in one of his better sports, but he had to make do with what he had.

It’s up!” Blake yelled to his partner as he retreated to his original position.

Light would give Chi a little smile as he would go up to strike the ball, he would ball his hand up as he would prepare to strike the ball. With a small jerk he would fake right causing Hana to step to her left as he would allow his hand to tap the ball just over Chi to the left. Hana would attempt to recover and dive at the ball but the steps she took to her left caused her to be too far out of position to successfully keep the ball in play. Chi would quickly crawl under the net as she would playfully hit Light on the arm. "Big Brother Li..gh...t you cheated." Hana would slowly stand up as she would brush herself off and slowly make her way to the net and call chi back over. She would look Light up and down before saying, "So how long have you've been studying our style of play? Because that chip over Chiyoko was not by accident at all. Nor was that mid-air fake."

Light would smile softly as he would look to the sky and back at Hanako and say, "For sometime now, I know as good as Chiyoko is, there is nothing she can do if the ball is chipped over her, and most of your ability to close out is due to your ability to read which way someone is going to hit the ball. I also know any serves at the backline is or corners are dangrous, because no matter how hard you try, you are just not able to spike the no where near as good as Chiyoko. In the same note Chiyoko is not as good at reading the directions of the oppoent and plays the ball at the net to compensate for this." Light would smile lightly as he would step closer to the net and wraps his arms around Hanako's waist. "So do you admit defeat? Or are you going to try to prove to me that my ability to study weakness wrong." Light would slowly tilt his head to a few on lookers that were normally in the tournament. Hanako would lift the net up as she would kiss Light on the cheek and whisper in his ear.

Light would slowly call out to Blake, "We're going to postpone this game due to privacy issues, so what do you want for lunch?" Light would allow his hand to rest around Hanaok's waist as Chiyoko would run over towards Blake. As Light and Hanako made their way closer, Light would allow his tone to lower as he would say, "I can tell you get a rise out of competeing but these girls have a reputation to keep up, so were going to call the game off due to the fact that we're gentlemen and don't want to make them look bad in front of fans and rivals." Hanaok would softly slap Light on the chest as she would roll her eyes, "So me and Hanako were going to walk up to the bar and grill, you and Chiyoko are more than welcome to join us, but Chiyoko is willing to take you any where you want to go." Chiyoko would softly grab onto Blake's arm as she would ask, "Were to Blake-sama?" Chiyoko would slight tug Blake's arm as she would move towards the peer behind Light and Hanako.

As soon as Chiyoko grabbed his arm, Blake felt a blush appear that stretched over his nose from cheek to cheek. With his free arm Blake rubbed the back of his neck. A few things to note about Blake, first this was the closest a girl not named Mom had ever been to him. Even during academy sparring he had always been paired with other males. As for a friend, he could hardly name one girl he had ever met. He didn’t try to avoid girls, but when he would try to talk to them his words usually came out wrong or didn’t come out at all. He would constantly be thinking about what to say next and by the time he had gotten his words straight the moment had already passed.

Naturally in a new situation one would be nervous, but nervous was not even close to the right feeling. Blake was suffocating, but he found that it was a relaxing suffocation. Blake decided to go along with the tightness in his chest and throat. He decided to accept them as being a part of himself. A lump that had formed in his throat was swallowed, and by the time Chiyoko asked where Blake wanted to go Blake was ready to answer. Red in the face and still slowly losing breath Blake felt a tug on his hand ushering him to follow Light and Hanako.

Oh, yeah, sure. We can go with them to the bar and grill,” Blake managed to squeeze out.

Chiyoko’s pulls provided Blake with good direction, and soon he was walking beside her rather than behind. The suffocating feeling began to slightly fade, as the group made their way through the pier. By the time they reached the bar and grill, Blake was calm and his emotions were under control. Even his face had returned to a whitish color. Blake’s mouth once again formed a smirk.

PostSubject: Re: The Beach is for Relaxing    The Beach is for Relaxing EmptyWed Apr 03, 2013 2:43 am

(Sorry for the delay I was moving and the internet didn’t get turn on until today.)

As the group would make their way to the bar and grill, Light found himself drifting off in thought. Although this wasn’t far from the normalcy, Light found the subject at hand to be quite interesting indeed. His thought would get away from him as he would mutter, “I still do love you.” His would feel the grip of Hanako’s hand tighten around his arm as she would look up into his hazel green eyes. Light would stare back down in her sandy brown ones as he would repeat the statement to her in a mouthed fashion. She would allow her head to turn as she would say, “And I still love you…. but????” Her tone would come off as soft and fragile as she would allow her gaze to return back out in front of them. Light would be taken off guard as he would reply, “But what? You asked me why I didn’t still love you.” Kanako would allow her hands to fall from his arm as she would stop sudden and look coldly at him and speak in a tone that would be loud enough for Chiyoko and Blake to hear. “But?... You and I both know that no matter how much you still love me, it’s not enough for us to still be together, so why not?

Light would stare blankly at her for a few seconds before finally saying, “There is still something I have to do before we can.” Hanako would nod in agreement, as she would grab his hand and pull it up to her face before saying, “And what if I can’t wait that long for you solve all of the issues you had as a child? What if you solve every problem you ever had, would that be enough for you than. I know you Light, better than you want to admit, and the simple fact is. As long as you have goals and are striving for them, I am simply something that is in the way.” She would slowly turn towards Chiyoko and Blake as she would mouthed the words ‘I’m so sorry’ and the same breathe she would race away leaving Light with his hand still up where she had left it. Chiyoko would slowly allow a soft tear to form in her eyes as she would release Blake from her grasp and bow softly before taking her leave after Hanako.

Light would slowly allow his hand to fall as he would watch as the two would fade slowly away. He would take a deep breath before turning to Blake and saying, “I know that I’m not as cute as Chiyoko and Hanako, but if you’re still up for it, lunch is on me,” Light would turn and continue to make his way to the bar and grill. It wouldn’t take long for him to make his way in as he would grab the nearest table to a window and look out of it blankly. He would allow his fingers to drum a soft beat across the wooden frame of the table. His mind would race as he would try to put together what was to happen to next. He was at a loss for words and he was sure that Blake, would want an explanation to why his date had run off so suddenly. What could Light say, he had a right to know, he seemed to have an interest in Chiyoko anyways.

PostSubject: Re: The Beach is for Relaxing    The Beach is for Relaxing EmptyWed Apr 03, 2013 9:30 am

The smirk on Blake’s lips quickly faded into a slow sigh. Blake looked towards the sky before taking another step. Of course, all he found was the pier’s ceiling, but the image was soothing to Blake. He didn’t know why Hanako had run off like that, but something like that was bound to happen eventually. As Blake stood alone in the pier, Light continued into the restaurant. Blake was curious, and anyone would be, as to what had just happened between the two that had looked so lovey-dovey earlier. Blake however wasn’t like most in the simple fact that he wasn’t going to ask. He would only ask for an explanation if Light wanted to give one. Everyone has things they don’t like to talk about and Blake realized this at a pretty young age. His parents would always avoid the subject of his brother Benji when Blake wanted to talk about him. Just thinking about the moments made Blake regain his smirk. They could get pretty funny over Benji’s life and death. They once made Blake balance on his big toe for five minutes because he asked about Benji’s life before Blake was born.

With the smirk still residing on Blake’s lips, he made his way to the bar and grill. As he walked in, he scanned the crowd for Light. It was surprisingly not busy, and it was easy to locate Light within the crowd of normal people. As soon as Blake spotted him, Blake slowly made his way to Light. Light was looking out the window, and Blake could probably guess what was going around in there. It wasn’t too obvious, but Blake was pretty decent at reading situations. Blake sat down at the table, although he preferred booths. It is easier to get comfortable in booths. Blake looked at Light. It didn’t seem like he would be the first to speak. Blake wanted to break the silence, which he didn’t mind in most situations, but this was a sad and heavy silence. That is one of the worst kinds. You never know what kind of thoughts can form in those silences. They can be enlightening or destructive. Blake didn’t want to take that risk. Blake sighed out his next words.

She was pretty cute wasn’t she…?” The next part was barely audible, “And she had short hair.

Blake rested his elbow on the table, and then he put his head on top of the hand balancing his head on his open palm. Light didn’t look away from the window, and Blake knew that it would eventually come around to the reason why Hanako left. Blake sighed once more, and began to speak. “You know, you don’t have to tell me what happened. I’m not forcing you. But if you wanted to tell me, I’ll listen. It isn’t my place to demand that you give me a reason. If you decide you want to give me a reason, then give me a reason, but if you decide you don’t want to give me a reason, then that is perfectly fine. Quite frankly, it is none of my business, and the choice is yours. Tell me as much as you want.” After giving Light his options, Blake leaned back in his chair and put his hands behind his head. Blake’s gaze slowly drifted to the ceiling.

Light would allow Blake’s words to float around in his head as he would allow his eyes to shift from the window and over to Blake. His mouth would softly begin to form shape as if he had something to say, but would stop mid syllable as he would return his gaze back to the window. The waitress would finally make her way over to the table, and before she or Blake could say a word, Light would request that she bring a grill and six stacks of sliced beef and lots of rice to with a hot plate to fry it in. The waitress would giggle softly as she would pat Light on the back and say, “I can tell you’re having a bad day. So I’ll bring you a hot pot of tea.” Light would be taken off guard as he would look up to see his usual waitress. She would slowly look around the restaurant before asking, “Where is Chiyoko and Hanako?” Light would shoot her a dirty look that walked a fine line between annoyed and hatred. “I see.” The waitress would say as she would continue to mock Light with words that were more than sarcastic. “You and your girlfriend had another fight, huh? You two should just get married and be done with it, you two already fight like old people.” Light’s eyes would roll softly as he would wave her off.

Light would look over to Blake and finally find answer or beginning to start with. “You’ll listen you say?” He would allow his breath to shorten as he would tilt his head sideways, “For as long as I can remember Hanako has been a part of my life. I may have just as well loved her, the first time we exchanged words.” He would allow his fingers to stop drumming as he would pause for a second, “In order for me to continue loving her, I have to be a complete person, she deserves that, and as I am now I’m a fragment of the person she fell in love with… You see someone stole something very important from me and until I get it back I can’t have her. Even if she says that she loves me as I am, the truth is I know I could never be able to keep that smile on her face like this.” Light would allow his gaze return to the window as the waitress would place a pot of tea on the table, with two cups. Light would not allow his attention to return to Blake until the step of the waitress would fade back into nothing.

He would slowly stop drumming his fingers long enough to pour a cup of the lemon flavored tea, and slightly recline in his chair so that his head could rest against the back of it. He would look to Blake to say something, but before he would allow another word to come out of his mouth he tongue would begin to spill more details, “That that stole my family away from also has my peace held hostage. I can’t remember the last time I’ve had a dream peace or slept without a nightmare of watching my family die. In fact now that I think of it, tonight will either be the one thousandth seven hundred and sixty-forth night of a dreamless slumber or the two thousandth four hundred and eighty-sixth night I had a nightmare.” Light would slowly pull the money for the meal out of his jacket as he would place it on the table. He would than turn his attention back to the window for a second or two before allowing his fingers to drum again.

Blake wished he could say something, anything. He wanted to say he knew how Light felt, and in some ways he did, but Blake knew the situations weren’t the same. The only thing Blake could think to tell Light was a similar story to the one Light had just told him.

I can’t say I know how you feel, because I don’t. I do, however, relate to your story. Someone took a large piece of my life from me as well. I’m not one to talk on and on, but for this story I should tell you the whole tale. I was born into a family that was unremarkable, except for one prodigal child. That child was my brother. He was amazing. My dad told me he completed an S-rank mission as a genin, but that is beside the point. As I was growing old, my brother was off on missions. I only heard stories of how great he was. I never actually spent time with my brother. At most he was home for a few days, and he was always training. Then my parents began to go on missions as chuunin, so my brother and I spent time together. At this age I was old enough to train with him. We grew so close. Then after returning from a simple B-rank mission, I found his team re-entering the city. My brother was on their back. He had been given a virus by some villain that got away. We rushed him to the hospital, but the doctors said there was nothing they could do for him. He would lay in a hospital bed the rest of his life. Years would pass in that room. Every chance I got I was in there with him. Naturally, my physical training suffered, but I learned from the doctors medical techniques. My brother and I became inseparable, but it was a strained connection. I knew that every day that I walked into that hospital he could be dead. The thought was always in my mind as I opened the door to his room. When I finally lost him, it was the most painful thing I had and have ever experienced. Watching someone you love die is the most painful thing, but at least his pain had finally ended… I realize my story probably isn’t comparable to yours. I guess what I’m trying to say is: if you ever need any help with ending the nightmares and becoming whole… I realize you probably want to do it by yourself, but if you need any help, I will be there for you.”

Blake had no idea why he had just threw out his entire emotions to a man he had only just met. Blake realized soon after the reason he had said so much. It was the way Light had been looking at the clouds earlier on the beach. Light was longing to be completed, and Blake knew that feeling well. Though their methods to create completion were drastically different, both could be achieved at the same time. For Blake to feel complete, he must help everyone he can. Blake downed a cup of tea, and ate some food before quickly standing up. Blake thought that Light would probably rather be alone to think about things than to listen to him drone on and on. Blake slapped money on the table and smirked.

The least I could do is cover the tip.

It was a very generous tip. In fact, it would probably take three months for Blake to regain those funds. Blake sighed as he noticed this. He looked at the ceiling and gave a two fingered goodbye wave to Light. He kicked the chair he had pulled out as he stood up back into its rightful place. Blake stuffed his hands in his pockets and began walking. Just before leaving Light’s hearing range, Blake uttered a simple request.

Just don’t forget, if you need any help, just ask me.

Blake wondered to himself whether that was a cool enough line to walk out on. He decided it was good enough and left the pier.

Light’s attention would be drawn back into the room; he would find that Blake’s story ran almost neck and neck with his in the matter of losing someone close. There was still a slight disconnect for the two, as Blake did not wish to seek out the man who robbed him of his brother. Light would allow the thought to run circles around his head as he would slowly regain focus on Blake. Light would slightly allow all of the tapping to stop as he would take a sip of his tea. He wanted to question how could Blake make the nightmares stop, but would decide against it, and think of it as a more suggestive offer more than anything. He would slowly take a bit into his food, although it had grew over cooked and slightly tuff it was still good. He would allow himself to finish eating only moments after Blake had finished.

He would watch as Blake would place the tip on the table and begin his leave. He would hear him say something about needing help and asking, but at this point Light’s attention was in the bottom of his empty glass and he was wondering where in the world was the waitress. He would sigh softly before speaking up just loud of enough to catch Blake’s ear before exiting the restaurant. “You know you shouldn’t say cheesy things like that to friends, they might start to think that you’re weird or seen to many plays.” Light would slowly lean over to his hand and rest his head against it as he would look back out of the window. He would begin to question his statement about friends.

Can I really call him a friend only after meeting him today? I mean are we even friends? Does sharing tragedies with each other make us friends or a support group for each other? Light would pause after a second or two before standing up and sliding in his chair, he would pull out a coin and flip it off of his thumb before catching it in the center of his palm. Heads we’re friends, tails we’re a support group. He would allow the coin to flip once more before walking off as the coin would hit the ground it would ring slightly as it would go through its final spin. Light would not look back as he figured that it wasn’t important at this point, even if they were a support group he had already made the mistake of calling him a friend and that could not be taken back.

Light would wonder what kind of trouble the two would find themselves in later on in life. He would smirk coyly as he would allow the thoughts to slide away from his mind and down the tree, to a sigh of beauty. He would slowly make his way towards it as he would find Hanaok siting at the base of a cherry-blossom tree with a book and panic basket full of sweets. She would softly give him a smile as she would mouthed the words, “Fine than… I’ll just wait forever if I have too, just promise you always come back to me.” Light would smile softly as he would as he holds out his hand and take hers and pull her into a deep embrace. The two would slowly make their way down the street arm and arm leaving away from the pier.
