| If your in a clan like the Yuki clan which has the ice release would you have to wait till chunin to use any of the special jutsu since it needs both water and wind?
Edit: also as a side question if your main specialty is something other than ninjutsu could you still train in ninjutsu?

| 2: Yes, you can use ninjutsu two ranks below your own. This applies to all other specialty-related techniques as well, except Genjutsu I think. You'd have to confirm Genjutsu with Clever.
I'm not sure for the first question, I'll let someone else take that one.

| What about clan ninjutsu? I would think that since clans train their young ones in their special jutsu that there would be a special acceptation to it. | |

Edit: also as a side question if your main specialty is something other than ninjutsu could you still train in ninjutsu? 1. Here is how this works. When you make your genin application, you only put down the one element, and the advanced element. In the Yuki clan member's case, you'd put down water or wind, and then ice. For this example, I'll say that water was put down. So, as a genin, your character could only use water type elemental jutsu and ice type elemental jutsu, they just have not yet learned to separate their elements to also be able to use wind element by itself - does not mean it is not there, and not being used. Short answer: Yes, you can make a genin app with only one normal element, and your kekkei genkai element, and use both - you just cannot use the third. 2. Anyone can train jutsu two ranks below them, if they are not their main or sub specs. At genin you get your first spec, at chuunin your get your second, and at jounin you can unlock another with training (but this third spec only allows jutsu of one rank lower). For a genin (being C rank) that'd mean you can create and use jutsu of the E rank of other specs. I hope that answered your question? Oh! And about the genjutsu - you have to have genjutsu as your main or sub to be able to use it at all, period. You cannot use genjutsu without having the spec since it is totally different from other jutsu types and requires completely separate training (as well as the fact that it uses Yen chakra, unlike everything else, which uses Yang chakra. But that is more in depth).
