New Years in Kitai (Event) 99c18f46-5204-42c0-95a8-e30252593268_zps8c0a3fd7

(no post order)

"Your beach is ready for the celebration, my Queen." Said one of her loyal servants. Yes, the beach was hers, as well as everyone in the city that she controlled. "It's all mine.." She said to herself as she walked down a staircase in the Palace towards her litter in the courtyard. She was dressed in a peach sundress and wore white heals that matched her nails and the pearls that dangled around her neck. Flora had dyed her hair brown, something that was going to catch many off guard. She looked different sure, but beautiful all the same. This color brought her down to earth, made her more relatable. Not many had pink hair, and not many were royalty of Kitai.

"Let Aria know I'm on the way, I'd like to have her by my side as soon as she is able. We need to go husband shopping together." She said as she flicked a piece of dirt from beneath her nail. She had done gardening earlier before, and that enough manual labor to ease that appetite for the rest of her life here in the palace. She entered the courtyard and the clean and crisp air coming from the river surrounded her. She suddenly felt better as she stepped on the back of a servant to climb into her litter. With a command, she was gone from sight.

It had only taken a half hour, but the Queen was in her home district by the time she had finished thinking about Eli King, her former Fiance. He had grown ill and too sickly to wed the beautiful and almighty queen, so now she was single once more. Her grandmother was furious, past treasonous as she started pinching the queen and complaining how she would gain weight if she didn't stop eating. But those lemon cakes were so good.

After her food pornography thoughts were over, she had reached the beach. The litter lowered as the queen hopped out. She was met with a magnificent scene. A large portion of the beach was ready to a large party. A wooden floor was placed along the beach line and was covered with silk, which made some small private rooms that were only separated by silk cloths that dangled down. The middle of the entire floor was the dance floor, that was surrounded by bars. To the right of the dance center was the dining area's, and to the left were the lounges. Flora herself had a small tower lounge that overlooked the entire beach scene, and was accessible by a wooden staircase that led to the beach.

To the far right was the line of guests that were filing in. She noticed all of them had followed the dress code, which was all white. The Queen was the only exception with her peach sundress. Flora quickly cut the line and entered first so that she could greet guests properly, they were expected to give their respects and regards to the queen, and then to move into the party. It was only her duty as a queen to do the same to them. Without further preparation, the rich and wealthy were ready to celebrate a new year of intrigue, love, betrayal, and most of all: Blood.

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyTue Jun 04, 2013 10:38 pm

“Queen Flora is on her way to the party as we speak, milady. She shall meet you there at your convenience.” The servant’s voice reverberated through the wood paneling of her bedroom door.

Slipping the soft material of a white nylon stocking over her left foot, Aria pulled the elegant sheer hosiery upwards until it reached its apex just past the middle of her thigh. The lace lining the top of the stocking was matched by the soft white of her skirt, which the young Azai pulled down to cover herself. Smoothing the dress over with her hands, the royal beauty took a once over in front of her mirror. The dress was a graceful backless halter one-piece, made of pure silk. While the party called for an all-white dress code, truth of the matter was that Aria always dressed this way. Elegance. Purity. Class. These words were eternally etched at the fore of peoples' tongues whenever the Ice Princess entered a room, and tonight would be no different. The fair skinned girl didn’t know how to not look her best. Every silver hair on her head was in place. Every pore on her skin refreshed and translucent. Stunning blue eyes blinked lightly at her reflection. Though she mostly took after her mother, who was lovely in her own right, the Azai genes had always been blessed, and Aria was no exception.

“She also mentioned something about husband shopping…” At this, the girl gave a barely audible sigh. Not this again… she thought to herself. Even before her (ultimately doomed) engagement to Eli King, Flora was always keen on pestering her little sister about the prospect of finding a man to marry, for the both of them. The matriarch of the Azai was not shy about her intentions of continuing the family line, and seemed to believe such a duty was bound to both sisters. Aria, on the contrary, wanted nothing to do with such plans. If Flora wanted a billion bouncy baby rugrats, that was her prerogative. Just leave me out of it…

But Flora would be Flora. She supposed it was nice to have a sister that cared so much about her happiness. Were she another girl that actually cared about such things, having someone so devoted to finding her a marital partner would probably have been quite lovely. But as far as she was concerned, marriage simply was not for her. Alas, Flora wasn’t going to stop with the matchmaking any time soon—especially now that she, too, was single—and so Aria mentally prepared herself for yet another night crushing many a man’s dreams…

----------
When she arrived at the beach, Aria made her way in silence towards the front of the rather sizable line that had formed, paying no heed to the number of shouts and cries begging for her attention. Her hair and dress blew ever so slightly in the calm ocean breeze, the subtle aroma of expensive perfume mixing with the crisp air as she approached her sister. Pinching a small section of skirt in between the index finger and thumb of either hand, the princess gave a demure curtsy before her older sibling. She had always been a stickler for proper etiquette and decorum, most especially in view of the public eye. After rising back to a standing position, she would take her place at the Queen’s side, watching as the rest of the guests would arrive.

“…Love what you’ve done with your hair.” Her voice was at its usual soft tone. Clear and audible, while still being quiet and—to unknowing ears—devoid of much discernable emotion. But as her sister, Flora would undoubtedly know better. The love was there, even if Aria’s naturally cold demeanor did well to mask it from those that weren’t familiar.

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyTue Jun 04, 2013 11:20 pm

Serila had heard of this party weeks in advance and even had a sundress made like her old one but in the required color of pure white. She was eager for the party even though the lady she believe she had spilled beer on from the wedding previous might be there.... But that was no concern on her mind as she started brushing her hair and making sure everything was in place. She gave a small smile to herself in the mirror as Karite stood beside her with the headband. She turned to the cat and gave a smile before taking the belt from her and gently tying it around her waist. She made sure the knot was snug before letting the metal shine out into the mirror.

The girl liked her appearance tonight, all but the current form of her hands. She looked at them covered with fur and claws then looked at Karite with a smile. "Thank you very much for holding onto my belt as I got ready." She gave a little twirl as she felt the heavy rings inside move freely with her. She loved how her family had sent it out to her and bee kind enough to use their own ryo for it. "Now Karite let's get into form before we leave." The girl gave the cheetah a nod before feeling and watching the changes occur.

Slowly she felt something protrude from above her rear, slipping out of a specially designed hole in the dress just for her tail. She felt it grow till it was two meters long and slowly let it rest upon her shoulder strap. She sighed feeling the growth stop. At the same time Karite slowly grow larger and longer, her tail elongating out as the end flared out in puff. Her dark spots were replaced with white as the muscles moved around, adjusting to the new hunting prowess of the lion. Serila felt the ease on them both after the transformation.

They both looked stunning as they left the house, intending to arrive at the beach earlier then anyone to wait in the very long line.

-

She was early to arrive but still had to wait in a line with rustling people. She didn't mind that a few of them cut ahead but when it was finally her turn to enter she was smiling wide at Karite as she moved into the area. They both saw as people were going to a particular pair of women to say greetings towards, so Serila shrugged as they both began to make their own way over to the pair. She noticed the elegant woman in all white, her hair simply stunning to Serila as even her dress rivaled the white of Karite's fur. the lion held her head high as they approached and gained a tiny giggle from the girl as they both stood and bowed.

Serila felt something odd as she bowed, the woman with brown hair seemed familiar somehow, she couldn't put her finger on it until Karite growled something along the lines to her hearing "The woman from the wedding...." Serila froze on the spot as the fear of seeing the woman filled her mind, she was still in mid bow. She simply stared at the floor hoping above all else, she was not recognized. She looked at Karite as the lion kept her head down to teh woman in white and even looked afraid of this scent. They both were holding up the line of reception up to them all that mattered was not causing a scene.... But it was too late.

PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyTue Jun 04, 2013 11:33 pm

Yuu had just finished his daily work as Defense Minister when his secretary Karin walked in and said "Mr. Uchiha isn't it about time to be getting dressed for the party". Yuu sighed and said "Yeah i guess so". Yuu stood from his seat and wlked down the hall to one of the many dressing rooms in the palace the guards all saluted when Yuu walked by Yuu would give them a nod and continue walking. When he got inside he saw his Tux that he was going to wear He quickly got undressed and began to put his tux on as fast as possible. Yuu had found out that the palace housed a lot of people and somebody could walk in at any moment. He quickly put on his button up shirt. First buttoning from his chest to his waist, Then he began buttoning his cuff-links. After that was done he put his pants on buttoning them and putting a white leather belt on that had the Kitai city symbol on the buckle. He out on his socks that had been pressed and unwrinkled. Then his shes that were specially buffed. Then he put his snow white Tie making sure to get the knot right. Then he threw on his jacket and button the buttons on it. When he was done he took his family sword and placed it against his back he had this tux specially made so he could bring his sword without arousing suspicion after as Defense Minister it was his job to keep the city safe. One his sword was placed against his back comfortably Yuu took a step forward and looked in a mirror and said "You have come a long way since you lived in tonkatsu". He then exited and began to walk toward the beach where the party was being held.

Upon arrival he saw a line and being the nice man he is he proceeded yo get in the back. But wen people saw him he began to hear murmurs "*Gasp* That is the new Defense Minister". One said. "Yeah it is". said another Yuu smiled and nodded. Then before he knew it people were pushing him to the front of the line. One second he was at the back the next he was up front. Yuu smiled and waved at all the people and began to walk in. The first people he saw were the Queen and Lady Aria as well a a girl he did not know. Yuu having some manners he walked forward and said "Hello my Queen may i say you look beautiful today, i love the new hair color and that peach dress, Just stunning". Yuu said he then looked at Aria and said "And hello to you to Lady Aria Might i say your dress is lovely as well". Yuu then turned his attention to the other girl and said "And i am afraid i do not know you, I am Yuudai it is a pleasure". He said smiling. Yuu put his arm at mid waist and bowed as gracefully as he could. When he stood back up he said "And might i say the beach looks lovely this time a year".

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyWed Jun 05, 2013 12:22 am

Money is power.

The method of showing power in certain societies was through public events such as executions, torture and trials. But in this case, it was quite different. Wealth and extravagance, that is what was on display this fine evening in the “utopia” of Kitai. A less subtle, but all too similar display of authority.

Events such as this were something that Takeshi had grown up with. His mind flooded with ancient memories of his old family constantly flexing their aristocratic muscles, frivolously squandering their fortune on dances and get-togethers that served no real purpose but for the show authority – and an excuse to drink themselves to a stupor. However, this party was going to be different, it just had to be, this was true royalty in all of their glory, not some quasi-nobility masquerading as a king.

The young Hyuuga nobleman finished combing his long flowing hair that by now easily reached the small of his back. Every hair was straight, quite literally not a hair was out of place. Takeshi was dressed very similarly to his usual attire with the only major difference being coloring. He bore large flowing robes that were traditional for such an occasion, holding loosely to his rather thin frame, a white obi tightly holding the ensemble together. His pale skin only seemed to be a few shades darker than the fine silk that made up his suit, but his eyes matched them to perfection, their purity surpassing that of even the finest material in this world. At least, in his opinion.

As he made his way towards the party it only seemed fitting that he take the scenic route. True to his nature, he chose only to traverse a path in which he passed only the largest and most luxurious homes and businesses, the places where the streets were always well-kept and the poor strictly denied access, perfect. Only the most noteworthy people were even fit to be in the same vicinity as Takeshi, and even then, they did not possess the God-given gift that made him superior.

By the time the coast came into view his eye had already spotted the party scene, easily locatable by a lengthy line of the upper-class jostling for position to enter the event. Despite being early it seemed he was destined to wait. His mind wandered to various topics as he waited; including some questions about the girl he was stuck behind.

A tail and a cat? How peculiar.

He decided not to question it, who knew what kind of people were in this crazy city? The line soon began to creep to the entrance, finally coming into view of her highnesses, who were being greeted by what seemed to be every guest. Finally, he was just about to enter the party, only a few steps from the royalty, when something interrupted…

A strong authoritative looking man in a modern white suit strutted forward, his very presence seeming to get people to shove him to the front of the line. Keeping to the gentleman’s persona, Takeshi stepped aside silently as he went by. He was the new Defense Minister, Uchiha, Yuudai. However the man hardly took a few steps before he too came to a stop. It seemed that the unusual young lady who was in front of Takeshi was taking an unusually long time to go through the entrance. Her body seemingly pretrified in a bow as she attempted to greet the Queen.

She’s knows the Queen, and she’s terrified. What is this?

The Defense Minister seemed unaware of the unfolding situation as he struck up small talk with the women. But nothing could escape Takeshi’s eyes. He watched the scene with a great deal of interest before finally he decided it was time he interrupted the mildly awkward moment.

“Miss, Are you alright? You look ill, please let me escort you.” He said softly, his surprisingly small hand landing on the girl’s back, her feelings even more clear to him now. The offer as an escort being merely a formality, he looked up to the minister and royal family, his white eyes meeting theirs briefly before heentered a deep bow. The Hyuuga was like something from the old world, matching the description of the now-ancient-nobles of a bygone age. He was the epitome of an aristocrat, a master of elegance, not un-like the royals themselves.

“Hyuuga, Takeshi. A pleasure, Your Majesty.” He rose slowly before turning back to the girl. He didn’t waste his time with the Uchiha. His kind were beneath him.

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyWed Jun 05, 2013 3:37 am

Hakai had journey back to his birthplace, the last ninja nation, Village of Kitai. He had never planned on returning to this village, but one can never truly know where they will end up. Rumors had spread throughout the old world of a new power was emerging forth and Kitai was the place to fine more information. Upon arriving he saw the promotions of the Queen's new years beach party. The moment the information swept into his mind he knew he had to attend. This was an opportunity to see all the lords and ladies of Kitai's upper class. He was hoping that it would be a chance to gain invaluable intelligence on the inner works of the Kitai government.

So he purchased a white suit, fashioned tightly to his body. He would have Brewser groomed and bathed in preparation for the party. In his hotel room he would quickly dress and arrive promptly on time for the party. As he arrived he saw a line had formed and he entered it. Hakai stood taller than most people and was able to see what awaited him at the end of the line, the Queen. Annoyed at first he walked to enter the line, various people glancing at him with inquisitive looks. Apparently they weren't use to seeing or didn't deem it appropriate for a wolf to be at a young man's heels. If they were close enough he would explain he was a member of the Inuzuka clan. Some would nod understanding, other apparently didn't care. He hated people. They were so petty, so caught up in their party and social life. Not even realizing that if Brewser was allowed to he could tare them all to shreds in seconds. But Hakai only kept a smile on his face as he waited in line, slowly tapping his foot to the soft tune in his head.

As he waited he watched the various people greet the queen. He heard the low rumbling of Brewser growl and immediately shifted his attention. There senses were always mixed and he realized what was setting off his dearest friend, felines. The thought was clear and crisp as the blue and white wolf glared forward. There was a young girl with a white lion on her heels and even more shocking she herself had a tail. What a strange creature, Hakai thought. He would place his hand on top of Brewser stroking him softly and calming him. Bending low as he pet him he would whisper to his better half, Clam my Brews, we will find them again and they won't get away. But for now my friend hold thy fury and I will not stop you in the future. Let us have a hunt, it will only build the anticipation and ultimately make the kill wroth so much more. Brewser gave a grudging nod of understanding and would stay quiet.

He watched as a man would walk towards the queen and greet them. A moment later a Hyuuga walk up to join the conversation. It appeared he knew the freaky cat girl and offered her his hand. Hakai thought about going up but decided he would wait in line for the cluster of people to disperse. So he continued to wait, and went back to tapping his foot to a soft tune in his head. To anyone who would see him he was just waiting in line, but he was doing so much more than that. Analyzing everything, using both his and Brewser senses to make sure they knew everything about their enviornment. Hakai knew he wasn't safe here, even if no one had intention to bring him harm. It was gatherings like this that always had a at least one person planning something. Even he was mulling over a handful of less than appropriate party ideas. But for now he would just blend in and wait for any sign of danger and would prepare to react if he had too. He analyzing what was in front while Brewser checked what was behind, always working together a two man wolf pack.

PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyWed Jun 05, 2013 5:01 am

Only one other woman matched Flora's beauty. It was her sister, Aria. She watched as the goddess walked past the line flawlessly. She examined her lips, her hair, her body, and envied it even though the queen herself was anything less. When her sister had finished her entrance, she did a quick respect to her sister. Flora returned with with a very nod and smiled as she grabbed her sisters hands. She kissed both cheeks of her sister as she complicated Flora on her new dye. "Thank you Aria, if only it was as beautiful as yours. Perhaps I will match it some day." She said with sarcasm as she smirked.

The first guests began to file in after her sister. In between greeting them she continued her conversation with Aria. "I hope you are ready to g--" she was interrupted by the quick and classy appearance of the newly appointed defense minister. She grinned she he turned heads when he entered. She grasped the Uchiha's hands and gave him a beaming smile. "Ah, Yuudai Uchiha. So glad you got my personal invitation. I look forward to talking to you later about our city." She said as she nodded and sent him to go mingle with the others. After the minister had finished his respects with Aria she continued her previous sentence. "Like I was saying, I hope you are ready to find your husband...and a drink." she winked at her sister as the next guests came through. This time it was a hyuuga armed with a woman, a feral looking 'cat woman'? She wasn't sure what it was, but she remembered the face.

"Nice to meet a Hyuuga, very rare these days. Such a pity the clan doesn't even exist, just filled with self proclaimed nobles now. I hope you enjoy the festivities that my own family has to offer." She said at the Hyuuga directly. She didn't like how they still gave themselves off as the superior race, even when their clan lay disbanded and their bloodline spread around brothels and whore houses across the entire continent. Her clan was far more wealthier, powerful, they just needed the prestige.

"Try not to spill anything on this dress dear. Its worth more than the house you just purchased." she said to the cat lady. She had dug up some information on her after her incident, why? she didn't know. She wanted someone that owed her...much like this one did. She waved them both off to join the rest of the party.

"Get to know that girl Aria, I'm looking for an obedient assistant and she looks the type." She added to her beautiful sister. She looked out the door a brief moment to see more guests arriving. This was going to be a fun night for sure.

As the group of people departed from the queen, Hakai watched them walk away. He attempted to grab any detail as they walked, giving the cat freak some additional focus. The next few people that stood between the tall man the two benevolent girls passed quickly. As the last person gave their respectful greeting Hakai, finally stepped forward Brewser on his right side. He began to mold his chakra through his body as he got closer to the Queen and her guards. Hakai was large in height and stature, with firm broad shoulders. Like a tall man snow capped with white hair and emerald green eyes. He would pause before both young women, Brewser doing the same and stare directly down at the Queen. Both of them held natural beauty befitting of what they were, royalty. He would attempt to meet her eyes and speak very clear with conviction in his voice. "Even in the farthest reaches of the old world, your beauty is legendary. You truly are a wonder to behold, for such a simple shinobi as I." As he spoke he would lower his back slightly and offer her his hand, firm and massive it would extend horizontally to the sky. A gesture meant of only kindness and respect.

Serila felt a tension in the air broken by the entrance of a man in a white suit, causing her stance to regain composer as she felt a hand on her back. She looked to both men and gave a simple nod as shut muttered to herself "That woman is the queen.... I'm doomed now.." She sounded very distraught as Karite nudged her towards the escort service and gave a growl to signal to accept it. Serila turned to the lion and gave a short nod before keeping her eyes away form the queen "Thank you sir, I'm sure some time sitting down will help my nerves." She held out her hand for the elderly man and sighed looking at the ground as the queen spoke. She gave a quick nod of her head and a tiny sad sounding "Sorry again, and yes your highness." She left the queen to remain with her sister and looked at Karite as the cat shook it's great head in disapproval of not standing up.

Yuu smiled at the Queen and said "Yes i cannot wait either ". After he was done giving his pleasantries to the Queen and Lady Aria he bowed once more and began to walk over to the bar and order a drink. Though Yuu was here as guest he was still being vigilant after all this party would be the gathering place of all of Kitai's higher ups. Which would make it the perfect place for some body to attack. Yuu finished his drink and walked over to one of the Queens personal guards. Who were hand picked by him. "You boys keep and look out for anything suspicious you see anything come find me ". The men noded and went back to there duties. Yuu would then walk back to the bar to get another drink.

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyWed Jun 05, 2013 6:35 pm

Aria remained silent as the guests began to shuffle forward and into the party scene. Having spent most of her life as nobility—and more recently, royalty—she was certainly no stranger to attending the occasional social soirée. Between royal balls, winter festivals, and high-class galas, the girl was well acquainted with such popular events. But just because she attended them didn’t mean she enjoyed them. The Azai clan was filled to the brim with politicians and partygoers. Aria was not one of them. This marked one of the many differences between the two sisters. Flora had always been the smooth talker. The socialite. The life of the party. Aria, on the other hand, would much rather be off on her own, indulging in some classic literature or music. Truth be told, she was merely here out of formality, and adoration for her sister. And, if necessary, to ensure that any problems are quickly handled should the appeal of all the city’s biggest movers and shakers be too enticing for troublemakers to resist.

Needless to say, the Queen’s sister merely watched in silence as the wide variety of Kitai citizenry made their approach. First was the Minister of Defense… About as close to a ‘boss’ as a princess could have, considering her role within the Royal Guard. Yuu was an Uchiha… A respectable one at that. Perhaps, in fact, the only one Aria dared offer any degree of trust. It was after reciprocating his compliment with a simple nod of acknowledgement that the young princess would hear the words she had wished she could've avoided for the evening. Aria responded to her sister in her characteristically quiet monotone. “…Husband? …No thank you.” Concise and succinct. As always. Indeed, it would have to be a very strong drink if Flora honestly expected Aria to follow through with her "shopping" plans.

Beside the Minister was a young woman whom Aria didn’t know. The Ice Princess made a mental note of the rather timid looking girl, as well as her feline companion, before turning her eyes elsewhere. Despite Flora’s apparent familiarity with her, she didn’t seem to pose any immediate threat. For now. She would, of course, take her sister’s word of advisement. Though if Flora was looking for an assistant, Aria felt there would undoubtedly be more promising prospects…

Following behind the feline female was a rather sharply dressed man with daunting, pale eyes. While no longer holding the power that they once had, Aria was well familiar with the history behind their once-noble lineage. Before the destruction brought about by the Finger of God, the Hyuuga were one of the most well respected clans from the once great village of Konoha, their renown second, perhaps, only to the Uchiha. A pity that they were far from rediscovering their former glory as the bearers of the Sharingan seemed so eager to do. Though she only bothered to spare him but a passing glance, she took note of the man. At the very least, he presented himself with some meager amount of decorum and class. Perhaps he could teach a thing or two to the rest of the so called “nobles” that continued to flock into the area.

The next to approach would be a rather tall man with a large wolf at his side. Shades of another long lost clan, no doubt. Between him and the ‘catgirl’, Aria felt there were enough non-humanoids in attendance to form a veritable menagerie. And while this one did show some spine, he was quick to prostrate himself in front of the Queen. Well, at least he knew his audience. Ignoring the man’s apparently humble attitude, Aria decided to keep tabs on him throughout the night. Though she knew better than to judge purely on appearances, both he and the wolf seemed quite capable, to the point of possibly being dangerous. Her luminous blue eyes narrowed ever so slightly before she shifted her gaze towards a group of Yuu’s guards. While she herself was off-duty, a little caution was always well advised. Just who knows what will happen this night…

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyWed Jun 05, 2013 8:01 pm

His pale eyes lingered on the queen. She was an interesting one that was for sure. She had the aura of confidence and even arrogance that surrounded her. It didn’t take someone with his own expertise in reading people to sense that. However, her words still seemed to hit Takeshi in a somewhat vulnerable spot.

“Yes, it is a shame to our name. The few of us that remain seem to have forgotten their proud history.” He responded, the disappointment palpable in his voice.

The history of the Hyuuga Clan was one of fame, fortune and prestige. Unfortunately, that was the very problem, it was all history. By now it was nothing but a distant memory of a time before the Finger of God ravished the earth. The Clan was gone, their prized bloodline being bought and sold as a tool by the new world leaders. The destruction of the clan had caused a sense disillusionment amongst its remaining members. Only a few still clung to the past, clawing desperately to hold onto the remnants of nobility and honor the Hyuuga name held before the fall of the world, even if they weren’t around to see the clan’s glory days. Takeshi was one of those people. Determine to restore the clan to its former status and beyond.

Still, the queen’s words were not what bothered him, it was her thoughts. He could see it in her eyes, in her posture. She may be putting on a guise of respect and sympathy, but her lies didn’t fool his divinity. She thought that the Hyuuga were an inferior people, that her lineage was somehow greater than those who inherited his ultimate power. It was a direct clash with his own beliefs.

The stone faced Hyuuga gave a passing glance to the other member of royalty. The petite girl had an appearance of sanctity matched by only himself, Her snow-white hair and milky skin providing a chilling backdrop for her piecing blue eyes. She was Azai, Aria., 1st princess to the throne, sister of Queen Fiora. The girl did not speak, although Takeshi already liked her more than the queen. He could tell that she was reserved, not because of any defect or lack of self-confidence, but merely it was not in her nature, she was not one for these occasions and was simply present out of duty and admiration for somebody. Her sister he assumed. From the all too brief glance she granted Takeshi, at least he seemed to make a good impression on her, if not the Queen. His attention was snapped by the growl of the girl’s large feline and her inaudible muttering to herself.

“Of course, let us find a table.” The young Hyuuga noble smiled gently, taking the catgirl’s hand, as he escorted her to one of the more picturesque “rooms” of silk provided.

As they left the scene he glanced backwards if just for a moment. A particularly fearsome looking man had made an appearance; it was obvious he wasn’t the average noble. The shinobi stood about 6 and half feet in height, towering high above anyone else at the party. His rather large frame was covered from head to foot in tattoos, but even more concerning was the large wolf that accompanied him. Surely this wouldn’t do well with Miss Feline he was accompanying. Despite his rather charming introduction to the queen, his presence was not something Takeshi felt comfortable with.

His eyes, they indicate an extreme interesting in his surroundings. He is slightly apprehensive, and doesn’t feel entirely secure. And what is it with this city and animal companions?

He was only able to read him briefly without raising suspicion. He continued to escort his unexpected companion into the party; it appeared he wasn’t the only one to feel suspicious. The Defense Minister and the royalty even appeared to recognize the man as a potential threat, even if their analysis wasn’t as in-depth as his own. Hardly a few steps into the party and the air was already thick with tension. What else could go wrong?

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyThu Jun 06, 2013 3:07 am

Hikari was getting all dressed up in his nice suit. It was all white. He had to go out and buy one so he could wear it to his fancy new year’s party. It was going to be quite the night. Sadly though, Ayaka was under the weather and could not attend. Hikari was still excited, he got to see people his wife worked with, and a meet a bunch of new people. ”This is going to be so sweet!” Hikari thought with excitement as he walked out his front door to head over to the party.

Haku was getting all prepared for some fun time events while Hikari got dressed. Haku had managed to completely work out a system for him to hide his kunai and shuriken in his suit that Hikari would be wearing to the party. He had all of his basic ninja tools, along with a few special surprises. ”This is going to be so sweet!” Haku thought with excitement as he walked out his front door to head over to the party.

Haku was going deep into thought about what he might do tonight. He was prepared, that was sure. But he would be hurting so much more than he even knew of. He knew Hikari was finally happy. He loved him. He would be ruining his entire life. After a bit, Haku tried to take over. He wanted to turn back. To take off all of his weapons and then go to the party naturally. But he couldn’t do it. Haku was too determined. He could not give up. Not now…

After a short while of walking, Hikari made his way to the front door. He waited in line for what seemed like ages. He had some conversations with some people there in line with him. Some people were just wealthy members of society, others worked in the government. He even overheard someone talking of being the Minister of Defense. That clicked in his mind because that was Ayaka’s boss. Which was really interesting to Hikari.

At the door to the party, Haku saw who he was looking for.

Hikari said, “Good evening, your majesty. It’s quite the privilege to be here at your nice party with all of these lovely people. And as it is a pleasure to meet you too, sister of the queen.” Hikari called her that only for the fact that he could not remember the Queen’s sister’s name. It just happened to slip his mind.

“I really do enjoy this lovely scenery you chose, Queen Flora. You always did have such lovely taste. But while I could talk hours about how lovely you are, I do have some people to meet and give my regards to for my wife.” Hikari said as he began walking away. He began to look across the area for a table, or maybe someone he knew so he could speak to about current issues. He slid his hands down into his pockets and started to slowly twiddle his fingers wondering who he might see tonight. Hikari smiled at the wondrous party this was going to be.

Aziz Kuzai was nervous. Today was his day to shine. He could show everyone else that he was truly loyal to The Legion. His palms were sweaty inside his gloves. He resisted the urge to take the heavy things off and wipe his hands on his pants. Looking down he did his best to remain patient.

Months of preparation had gone into this plan. It had finally all come down to location. Someone on the inside had managed to suggest the idea of using the beach for this event and fortunately it had taken. Now Aziz was perched on the roof of a tall storage building that was close to the party. He had taken out the assigned guard who was supposed to keep an eye on the party from here already.

Now he watched carefully. He saw the man that he was ordered to observe and had to just wait. It didn't take too long, but when he saw the man head over and speak to the queen he knew it was time. Leaping off the building, Aziz used some umbrellas and beach seats that had been set up as cover until he raced towards the queen, throwing a bola with dead perfect accuracy at her legs, taking advantage of her back being turned.

No one seemed to have yet noticed him and even if they had no one was close enough to stop him as he ran towards the queen and her sister as well as the man. Following the bola were two smoke bombs, landing on either side of the three as he leapt towards them, reaching down for his kunai.

"God she is too serious." She said as she watched Aria keep tabs on the guests entering, instead on keeping tabs on eligible bachelors in the city. She smirked at the Hyuuga, as he sucked up his pride and took her lashing insult as a man. Surely she was petty with her comments, but damn it made her feel better about herself. Sad, but she didn't care. She was the most beautiful, richest, and politically powerful woman in the civilized world. She didn't care if it was sad. She could change the definition officially if she wanted to. Why not? She owned everything else.

The next guest to grace her with their presence was a dark haired young man. She watched the words flow out of his mouth, and something caught her attention. He was a married man clearly flirting with both her and Aria, and he made it sound as if the Queen wasn't worth the time over his wife. She liked it. Finally a man who wasn't afraid to be honest and not worry about what Flora thought. She did find it a bit odd though that he didn't say his name.

The influx of new guests took the thoughts from her mind. At this point the line was too long, and they were all ready to get in. The official greeting time was over, the party was to begin. Fire breathers and sword masters were setting up on stage ready for the first show, that's when it hit her. A heavy chain with twin balls restricted her legs quickly. If she hadn't had any shinobi training she would have fell quickly. She looked up to her sister, with fear perhaps, before her vision went with the smoke bombs bursting around her.

"Is it the end...?" She began to wonder as she felt someone quickly come up to her.

Haku moved in. Aziz was right on time. The bola caught the queen and smoke was now thrown up blocking all attacks. He finished off the hand seals he was performing in his pockets, and suddenly, a shield was thrown up around the group of people at the door way, along with Aziz, the queen, and her sister. Haku finished off the other seal and his arm became covered with earth and he was now ready to attack. First, Haku threw some tagged kuani from his inside jacket pocket at the wall across the room.

In the dense smoke that was burning his eyes he knelt down beside the queen lying on the ground and leaned in and whispered in her ear.

“Its over Flora. The legion has won. You, Flora Azai, will die tonight. My name is Haku, and you will pay for being the cruel bitch you are to the people of this city.”

Haku was ready; he raised his arm up and was ready to smash Flora to smithereens. He slammed his fist down onto her stomach.

(she has time to react, so waiting for that)

Spoiler:

(for earth spear, only hardening his arm. same chakra cost, just only his arm)

PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyThu Jun 06, 2013 3:48 am

The distance was closed in the briefest of instants now. He plunged the kunai, aiming for her stomach, his wrist twisting it as it reached the space that her body occupied. He had another instant where he swung his electrified glove straight towards her right arm, hoping that should it connect it'd help stop her from using jutsu.

He had no time now. He threw a stray punch at her sister as he ran by her, the heat vision on his goggles working wonders. He blew out of the smoke and made his escape.

Aziz had done his job. Now he ran. The security teams were well trained and already moving to intercept him. Thankfully that was expected, and the explosive tags that the man had thrown helped distract them for a moment. He took out two more smoke bombs and was ready to use them if anyone tried to stop him.

He pulled a sheaf of papers from his pocket as he neared the door and threw them in the air. Letting them flutter down he smiled beneath his mask. It was a terrifying feeling, but exhilarating to know that he had made a difference. He had helped end tyranny.

The exit came quickly and the last thing people saw was the Legion emblem emblazoned on his back. It matched what was on the papers he had scattered as he ran. The Legion wanted everyone to know that they had done it. They had saved the city from itself. He let loose the smoke bombs at the entrance and then made his escape. Surprisingly, it was completely clean, just like the plan had said.

-Exit-

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptyThu Jun 06, 2013 4:51 am

The night had already seemed a little odd to Takeshi. The company wasn’t anything that he had expected, the upper class was surely present, what he didn’t account for was pet owners, catgirls or giants at the event. The only expected arrival seemed to be the royalty and high government officials.

I guess the nobility wasn’t exactly how I always pictured it…

He thought with a sigh as he escorted the girl and her feline to one of the various silk rooms that lined the party. His mind was racing, the whole reason he even attended this event was for the possibility of gaining connections, and restoring the prestige of his once proud people. But how was he to do that now that he had this unexpected companion at his side? She certainly didn’t seem to be of noble descent. He certainly hadn’t heard of any of the nobility running around with tails or pet lions.

This would be a problem, unless he got lucky and happened to find a table they could sit at with some more important people. The royalty was out of question for now; he needed to work his way up the social ladder, he wouldn’t be given any attention if he merely went up and tried to talk to the Queen. It’s just how these aristocratic politics worked. About midway across the dance floor all hell broke loose. The peace of the quaint New Year party had been shattered. Assassination.

A terrible scream pierced Takeshi’s eardrum as black smoke began to engulf the area. He quickly yanked his hand away from catgirl, instinct taking hold of him. Almost automatically his eyes began their horrid transformation, veins bulging on their periphery, cracks extending all around his pupil. The purity and nobility that once existed in them was no more. The nobleman dashed forward across the dance floor, the situation wasn’t clear yet, even to him, everything had happened so quickly. The time for manners was over.

Takeshi zoomed through the party scene in his black and white world that his Byakugan provided. In that world he found the culprits. A creepy looking assassin boy, in a large bodysuit and an older looking man, dressed in a rather simple white suit. The conditions were clear now, it was an assassination! But his hopes of helping the queen were quickly dashed, as he came to a grinding halt at the foot of a great barrier, the shield’s power clear to his eyes. It was hopeless to try to break through. The queen would have to rely on her own skills and her own sister to save her life.

But he could still be useful in this tragedy. The young assassin who initiated the attack broke through the shield in an attempt to run, an explosion covering his retreat. Such cheap low class tricks wouldn’t work on a Hyuuga, his eyes not being distracted by the explosion as he made a beeline straight towards the young assassin, speed blinding, obviously superior. The smoke had no influence on his Byakugan. Once again the conditions were clear to him, he had to apprehend the assassin. Focusing the chakra in his feet, the Hyuuga launched himself into the air and vanished in the bloody New Year ’s Eve, if only for a moment.

He appeared in front of the Assassin, traversing a great distant without attacking. In the middle of this barren street was where he was going to get his opportunity to advance himself in the eyes of the queen, an opportunity to restore honor and prestige to the Hyuuga name. Standing a short 2 meters in front of the boy he was already prepared, now was the time for his Jūkenpo. He was already in range of that technique.

“Jūkenpo... Hakke Rokujuuyonshou!” He yelled, his voice suddenly several tones deeper than normal. With a powerful lung the Hyuuga began his combo.

“Two strikes!”

“Four strikes!”

”Eight strikes!”

“Sixteen strikes!”

“Thirty-two strikes!”

“Sixty-four strikes!”

Takeshi unleashed a hellish barrage of Juken strikes at his young adversary. Clearly he was the faster and it already appeared the stronger. He finished his barrage on the unsuspecting boy, hoping to bring an end to this assassin. With a large exhale he stood upright, his right palm raised, legs split, ever vigilant in his stance. Quite the party this turned out to be.

[OOC: Just to clarify, I stopped the NPC's exit and engaged in battle (being higher rank, much faster, and having a sensory jutsu. Hope this isn't a problem.]

Maybe his escape wasn't quite as clean as he had hoped. He saw the shinobi chasing him out of the corner of his eye. It was obvious their speeds were vastly different. But it was just as obvious that this other man didn't realize Aziz knew he was coming. Slipping his hand into his waistband he pulled his Kalli stick, flipping the electric current on and preparing for the attack he knew was coming.

As soon as the white eyed man landed on the ground in front of him, Aziz was ready. He saw the attack coming in and swung his kalli stick to block one attack and used his glove to try and catch the other. The glove barely grazed the Hyuuga man's arm, but the shock should still have been sufficient. This didn't prevent the first two blows from connecting though, but it gave Aziz a chance to roll with the hits and escape most of the force from the next set. By the set after that he had done what seemed impossible and escaped the technique.

Dropping the stick he reached into his pouch and pulled three things out at once. He popped the first into his mouth. This was his last ditch tool, in case he was captured. He didn't bite into the capsule yet though. There was still a chance to escape. The second was a flash bomb. Knowing that the Hyuuga's visual range was considerably wider than most people's he hid it until the other man turned around. Then he set it off, in his hand. It left black char on the glove but no real damage to his hand. However it should almost certainly blind the other man, who doesn't have the advantage of a facemask and goggles.

Finally he threw the third item, a smoke bomb, onto the ground and made to escape again. The smoke wouldn't do anything to obscure the vision of the other ninja on the off chance that the flash bomb hadn't blinded him completely. However it would certainly irritate the other man's eyes, especially ones as sensitive as a Hyuuga's were.

Aziz wasted no time, leaving one of has kalli stick on the ground. He had a second one still tucked away, but he hoped he wouldn't have to use it. He headed towards the emergency escape location and saw a man waiting there. As soon as he reached the man, barely five seconds after leaving the fight, he ran into the doorway that was next to him, the second Legion member closing the hidden wall behind him and acting as if nothing was wrong. If nothing else, the wall would slow down any pursuit.

-Exit. Maybe for real this time.-

As Aria had her eyes on the tall man with the wolf, another dark haired man would make his way to the front of the line, apparently not concerned with common courtesy. The Ice Princess didn’t like him already. His offhanded statement towards her didn’t help matters. Disrespectful filth. Deciding not to let herself be so bothered by men of his ilk, she returned her gaze back toward the line in front of her.

A mistake, in retrospect. Despite her ninja training, she was unable to react to the bola aimed at her sister’s legs. It wasn’t until the sound of the Queen’s body hitting the floor that Aria would turn to see a masked man heading in their direction. With his approach came a pair of smoke bombs, apparently to veil his incoming attack. Assassins. No fool, the princess put two and two together quickly enough. The man was clearly looking to have an advantage with his mask, more than likely designed to help see through the smoke. Clever… Having been a formal party, she had not brought her sword. An oversight she hadn’t the time to dwell on. But even without a blade in hand, she was anything but helpless. The Ice Princess was not one to be trifled with.

Her visage enveloped in smoke, Aria would make a few quick seals, and then bring her hand up to her perfectly shaped lips and form a slight pucker, as if to blow a kiss. Instead, a stream of freezing cold air would exit her mouth, dispersing a good portion of the smoke in front of her. Just in time, for the assassin was just about to swing his kunai towards the location Aria had last seen her sister fall. Utilizing her superior speed, she grabbed the man by the wrist, halting his attempted stab. Still, while not as fast as her, the man was surprisingly reactive, aiming a desperate punch towards her with his other hand. Though it wasn’t going to so easily land on a Jounin of her caliber, it was enough to cause her to loosen her grip as she spun to the side, avoiding contact. He apparently had no interest in prolonging this confrontation, for he continued running off as soon as he was able.

Why, you… She took a step forward before seeing the barrier that had already surrounded their position. It seemed she wasn’t going anywhere. Lucky for him. But sudden realization quickly set in. This kind of attack in such a crowded area would have been crazy to have been attempted alone. “Flora…!” Aria turned around to see if she could see what was happening behind the second screen of smoke…

New Years in Kitai (Event) Empty
PostSubject: Re: New Years in Kitai (Event)   New Years in Kitai (Event) EmptySat Jun 08, 2013 3:10 am

OCC: I just read through my post.. that was the first draft I typed up quickly. I had to redo the 2nd half and I just realized never read through it. Wow.. I am glad the post got deleted so may typos. O.O

Hakai had come to the city of Kitai only for information. Upon arriving he heard of a glamorous gathering of the uppity up of the village. So he convinced himself it would be worth a visit. So he got all dressed up in his suit and tie. Planning to leave it all on the floor tonight. Really wanting it to be rather simple, he would walk in and see the Queen. He would have just taken her hand and bowed, follow by duplicated gesture to the princess. That is all he wanted to be just another guest among the herd of them that filtered in.

But alas Hakai's life was never easy. He was born to an adventure seeking man who dragged him all over the ninja world. But at least he was use to things never going as plan, in the old world things never did. So he would be rather happy by the fact that even the Kitai had their problems and even the queen wasn't always perfectly safe. So as Hakai stood there his shoulders semi-lowered and he was peering into the eyes of the queen, Brewsers was looking steadily around them to make sure they were safe. As Hakai waited for the queen's response to his kind and genuine gesture, a man approached. He was about six feet tall, with dark hair and seemed completely ignorant of Hakai's existence standing inches from the queen himself. He would introduce himself as if Hakai had some how gained the magical ability to make himself invisible. "So freaking rude." Hakai thought to himself in a rough tone. "I hope this guy gets stabbed through the eye or something." He would straighten up when the queen seemed to ignore him as well. "Bitch, I hope someone throws something at her. Plus this girl has crazy eyes, her hotness to crazy scale is probably way off. " He thought to himself again. As he straighten up his pride hurting only slightly, from the obvious and blatant disregard for his feelings.

He was just just about to say something when Brewser's thought caught his attention, danger. Clear and precise was Brewser's vision, even looking out into the darkness of a beach. His eyes like all of his species are naturally capable of picking up light that humans and most animals can't even see. Even more than that his smell confirmed that them man had just arrived and brought a new scent to the banquet that was already flutter through Brewser's nose. He saw the man there moving forward behind the queen. Brewser immediately responded not sure who the man targeting.

Lowering himself Brewser would move in front of Hakai, and stand to the side glancing around for any problems. The canine saw the projectile coming closer and so did Hakai through is soul bonded animal's eyes. As it struck the queen Hakai would dive forward, molding he would flow some into Brewser and also through the rest of his body. So as he caught the queen he would give her physically enhancing stats. If he was able to catch her she would feel immediate physically powerful. Hakai would attempt to undo the boa that was tightly wrapped around the queen, unaware of another attacker. Brewser would stay at Hakai's side, he saw a man launch forward aiming for the fallen queen. Brewser would race along side his master and roar in front of Hakai, who was now left exposed. Brewser would slash and the new attacker with extremely physical power as the wolf would blast himself onto the man. Brewser would slash and tear at the man's face and neck. He would take bites out of his if his mouth connected, biting like he would a deer. However Brewser wanted to take his target down quickly, so he could turn to protect Hakai. Even if he had to use his body as a shield he would make sure Hakai would not take harm.

OCC: I figured this was what my character would probably do, if it wasn't possible to kidnap her.

Hikari was definitely pissed off. Apparently no one can have an evil plan now a days without it getting interupted. Crazy.

Hikari moved in on the queen. He has his arm covered in earth and as soon as that was about to happen, a wolf that he had no idea of just pounced on him and decided to try and maul his face off. Thankfully, Hikari raised his arm up in time for the beast to maul on that instead. He broke through the earth easily and began to maul his arm to pieces before being called back to his owner. The beast left Hikari with as many bloody gashes anc cuts as it possibly could. His arm was mauled to bits. He was going to die. Hikari kept going though.

He crawled over in the dense smoke to the queen, and he pulled out a kunai as fast as he could with his left hand. He took the kunai and stabbed the queen as hard as he could in her chest. Right between her boobs. Hikari laughed at his perfect placement of the kunai. He looked the queen directly in her eyes and said, "I hope you die as slow as humanly possible. The positioning of the kunai was right next to her heart. He might have penetrated an upper chamber, but she would not die instantly. Not by a long shot.

Then, Hikari did one last thing. He fell onto the ground. The smoke was now beginning to clear. He saw someone there outside the shield. He looked at them and said, "Tell Ayaka I love her."

Hikari was going to die. Haku along with him. The two had been on a wonderous amount of journeys in their life. The two personalities. Bonded together in a single boy. Their stories would come to an end that fateful night. Hikari stared out as he began to close his eyes for the last time. His final thought raced through his head.

"I'm sorry, Ayaka."

-exit via death-

(OOC: someone can techinically finish the job if they want. that person receives the death on me. If not, then boulder its yours. unless someone intervenes from what i do to steph. so yeah. I am looking at Yuudai outside of the shield just so you know yuudai.)

Meanwhile, Close By...

The fight seemed over the moment it began to Takeshi. He was superior when it came to strength and speed, the difference in rank obvious between him and his masked opponent. His fingers made contact with the assassin’s instantly pressing the tenketsu on his right shoulder and lower right abdomen. However, it seemed that the young Hyuuga’s arrogance had gotten the better of him as he turned into a spin to unleash the next four strikes in his assault.

Normally an opponent’s attempts to block the Rokujuuyonshou are useless because of the speed and fact that the arms themselves become a vulnerable target, since they contain vital tenketsu just as the rest of the body does. But the situation was different, something that Takeshi had foolishly overlooked and underestimated when he began his onslaught. The young assassin’s technology seemed to be ages ahead of its time, and that would prove to save his life, for now. The large glove that protected his left hand rose, barely grazing Takeshi’s own left arm. The strike hit the young Assassin’s left shoulder, but missed the tenketsu, the small amount of contact just enough to cause his attack to not connect. But more importantly it stopped what would have been a fight ending jutsu, the electric currents suddenly entering the Hyuuga’s arm, causing him to relinquish his attack, if just for a moment.

After his 3rd strike just barely scathed the assassin he gracefully spun around the boy, his footwork allowing him to easily turn and maintain good positioning. Except something was wrong, his left arm felt numb, not useless, but certainly less effective for the next few seconds. He was careless, not noticing the weapon nor accounting for the boy’s survival instincts, the adrenaline surely having a part in the his last gasp effort to protect himself from Takeshi’s greatest advantage, his speed. With movements approaching nearly twice the speed of his adversary he could hardly believe his opponent had managed to react in time to avoid his fastest jutsu. It seemed improbable, if not impossible. He got lucky.

With his graceful turn Takeshi faced his enemy just as he finished executing his roll and he dug into his pouch. Whatever it was he was planning, Takeshi wasn’t underestimating his adversary this time, ever with the sheer difference in ability, he had proven that through his cheap parlor tricks he could survive.

What uncultured technology do you plan on using now?

His eyes narrowed, as the man popped a small pill into his mouth. Something supplementary, nor something he could be able to tell what it was. In that moment as the boy popped the pill he saw something particularly troublesome. The words that were something he was always afraid of in any battle, a dangerous weapon against any shinobi, but especially one that relies on their site as much as a Hyuuga. A flash bomb.

“Light? Shi-!” The curse escaped his lips as he read the Kanji, instinctively raising his hands to his face, although it was a useless gesture. In this situation, his greatest asset was his greatest weakness.

A fraction of a second before the bomb detonated Takeshi was able to shut his eyes. His quick reaction was only possible due to the amount of time it took the assassin to pop the pill into his mouth. During that time Takeshi was able to spot the tool in his hand with his all-seeing white eye, the Byakugan. However, in a twist he never anticipated, his divine eyes worked against him in that moment. Closing his eyes had no affect on stopping the flare of the bomb, and his world became nothing but a glaring white.

The other item that the assassin tossed was something Takeshi couldn’t identify, his eyes being closed for roughly a second, and the blinding light lingering even longer. To his relief he didn’t feel any pain, a sensation he was expecting in his moments of blind vulnerability. In those where Takeshi was protecting his eyes and stumbling around in his disoriented state, his enemy could’ve at least thrown a shuriken or needle to hinder him, even if the bomb didn’t work, the second of vulnerability in a shinobi battle was crucial, it was another genin mistake. Amazingly this enemy had managed to trick Takeshi twice now, but neither time did he capitalize on it.

After a few moments of blindness and disorientation from the bomb going off his eyes opened, even more intense and even frightening than ever before. Takeshi was reaching his boiling point. It was bad enough that this enemy had gotten the better of him, but a whole other level of embarrassment that it was done using such uncultured and skill-less means. His pursuit began as a political move, but now it was entirely personal. He could not dishonor the Hyuuga name and allow an enemy of this level to escape.

To his enemy the Hyuuga must’ve appeared a terrifying silhouette, standing tall in the ever-expanding smoke cloud. Pain was nothing to the Jounin level ninja, the billowing cloud of smog having offering but a small annoyance to him and his eyes. If anything the smoke was more irritating on his throat, causing a small cough or two. The enemy had roughly a second or two lead on Takeshi, but that was quite surmountable.

The Hyuuga once again pursued the assassin through the streets of the Yakitori District, his once flawless white robes now polluted with smoke damage, causing them to appear more gray than their original color. He dug both his hands into his back pouch, as he quickly gained on his enemy. Just ahead, another, quite conspicuous man stood next to what appeared to be a secret entrance, holding the revolving wall open as the assassin darted inside. As the enemy quickly began to close the door as the Hyuuga launched his weapons.

Eight shuriken were fired towards the doorway from the young Hyuuga, although half of them seemed to be flying quite slowly, their killing power minimal. This was a side effect of his numb, nearly dead left arm, the shuriken he threw with his left arm were seriously handicapped. But it didn’t matter for such a basic attack. The ninja stars seemed to swerve as they reached their mark, the poor soul closing the entrance.

Blood spattered all over the half-open door as 6 of the 8 shuriken hit their mark, embedding themselves into the man’s chest, stomach, and although not an intended target, the man’s thighs (a result of weakly thrown shuriken). From a range of roughly 5 meters, the result was devestating. However, it wasn't enough, as the legion goon was able he shut the secret entrance, impeding the Hyuuga’s path.

In a moment that seemed to move in slow motion he saw the assassin vanish from behind the wall. There was little he could do. In his rage he banged his fist on the hard stone wall, leaving a series of large cracks. He turned to the bloodied legion accessory. His eyes full of anger and hate he considered ending the man's life right there, recompense for his “valiant” sacrifice causing his target to escape. His white eyes burned with unbridled hatred as he peered into the soul of his barely conscious victim, a horrid feeling of failure in his stomach.

In that moment of failure something snapped in the young Hyuuga. How was this possible? He was suppose to be a superior being. The very rule of this world was that the strong lived while the weak died. Yet, in this case, the weak had eluded the strong. Someone with the ultimate divinity known as the Byakugan should never end up on the short end of any confrontation with anyone, let alone a talentless failure such as that assassin.

The world seemed to be spinning to Takeshi. He grabbed his head and shut his eyes, unable to escape the vision he had of the world around him. A seering pain was shooting through his head. He let out a bloodcurdling scream as his eyes shot open and he turned to the legion member. It was almost like he was in a trance, Takeshi slowly walked over to the man.

He grabbed the man by his shirt and dragged him up against the wall, a large red trail of blood staining the stone as he was pulling up against it. He screamed in pain. Takeshi brought his eyes less than an inch from the man's

"You... you will tell me everything." It was as if the devil himself spoke, the nobleman's voice suddenly several octaves deeper. Fear had completely overtaken the poor soul as he struggled to remove Takeshi's hand. It was clear he was no shinobi by his fruitless attempts to loosen the Hyuuga's grip.

"P-Please! Don't hurt me!" He begged, the fear in his voice music to Takeshi's ears.

"Who was the masked man. Do not lie to me." the demon inside him speaking yet again.

"I-I don't know! They didn't tell me anything! Just to open the door! P-please! I swear!"

It was the truth, Takeshi's eyes could tell. But he didn't care. He changed his grip so it was around the man's neck.

"I told you not to lie to me." He tightened his grip. The man's voice was hardly audible behind the sound of his pointless attempts to gasp for air.

"Sto... Pleas... I... ave... wife... 2 kids"

"The strong shall live, the weak shall die." Takeshi responded as his demonic eyes never left the man's own. It was true, he could see the man's life flashing before his eyes.

"Now, it's time for you to sleep, filth!" The man's violent thrashing came to a stop, and Takeshi released his grip. The crimson stain of the man's blood smearing the pure white stone even more as the corpse slid to the ground and slumped to the side. Nothing but anger resided in the noble Hyuuga as he blatantly stared into the wide open eyes of the accomplice.

In a daze the Hyuuga launched himself into the air and back towards the party. His mind empty. He had quite literally forgotten killing the innocent man. His last memory was the shame of losing his target.

What the hell?

Raishi was drenched in confusion, as he finally reached the New Year's party. He was hoping to have mind quite the entrance with his simple, yet dashing white suite. Early attendance to events had never been his thing, yet as he looked at the chaotic scene of screaming civilians and frightened hearts, he realised that he had missed what seemed to have been quite the show. He had to start coming early for things..

Raishi took off his ever so simple, elegant blazer, making himself ready in case of any other trouble...he figured it was too late though but, why not give it a chance? He looked round, scanning the vast room and noticed several unfamiliar faces. Typical.
As he entered the room, he noticed that there still seemed to be fighting going on...an attack on the queen maybe? He presumed so being as there was so much smoke in the atmosphere, which agitated his nose. He walked about, his senses staying sharp ad ready for anything, when he tripped over a body. Real smooth.
Apologising to the little kid, he moved on, noticing a body that was surrounded by...royal guards where they? Most likely the queen.....but that would mean that she was hit? Raishi advaced towards the body, trying to get a closer look when he tripped once more. His shoes were really starting to irritate him.
He made to apologise to the child, when he realised that it in fact, was not a child. It was a body of a man. He knelt down, turning the body over to see if he was a familiar face, which was very unlikely, but what he saw made his brain shudder. The man barely had an arm, looking like it was chewed off by a savage beast...

What the hell happened here?

The smoke began to clear, slowly but surely. A pair of silhouettes came in to view, the silver mask of smoke veiling their shapes less and less as the moments crawled by. It appeared to be a large dog wrestling with the arm of a man. The wolf… The larger shape soon withdrew from the smaller one, the latter of which crumpled to the floor. It was at this point that the air was free enough of the concealing taint to offer a passable view to sharp enough eyes. Aria narrowed her eyes to improve her vision, desperate to make sense of the hazy image before her. It was the dark haired man from before. His arm was torn to shreds, and it was clear he hadn’t long to survive from the blood loss. But a crazed determination glossed over his eyes, as he began to crawl to another body, this one right at Aria’s feet. Flora!

With his one good hand, the man pulled out a kunai, his intentions clear. Another assassin… He lifted his arm, and sent it straight towards the Queen’s chest. But Aria would be there to intercept him. With the speed of an experienced Jounin, the princess leaned over and grabbed his wrist, the would-be murder weapon stopping just inches away from her sister’s skin. There would be no regicide this evening. Not so long as she was there. The young girl removed the kunai from his feeble grasp, tossing it aside. Her icy gaze rested upon the dark-haired assassin, as emotionless as always. Carefully stepping around her sister’s unconscious body, she placed one heel against the man’s throat.

The man seemed to ignore her presence, his attention instead caught by someone beyond the barrier that surrounded them. “Tell Ayaka I love her.” His last request aimed to another, it was Aria that would send him on his way. “Make peace with your gods, assassin. Whomever they may be. For you shall be joining them shortly.” The man closed his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Ay—“

Aria stomped down and twisted, his neck snapping before he could finish, his body going completely limp. The deed done and the Queen saved, the princess stepped over to her sister’s body. Leaning over, she removed the bolas that binded Flora’s legs before scooping one arm underneath her knees, the other underneath her neck. She carefully lifted her sister up. “You really need to lose some weight…” Though it was supposed to be a joke, the Ice Princess’s monotonic deadpan may have failed in its delivery. Her eyes would briefly turn to a man that had approached. An apparent newcomer to the defunct party. But her interest was short lived. This must mean the barrier had fallen. Whether through the assaulter’s death or some external force, it mattered not now. Aria would turn away from the latecomer and walk towards where she last saw Yuudai, her older sister in her arms…
